What is Flash Drive?
A flash drive is a small electronic chip which is used as a medium of data storage and transfer from one computer/laptop to another computer/laptop. Data can be of any type. You can store and share all kind of data like images, videos, music, documents, files, presentation and software. There is no more need of CDs or floppy drives. You can carry it with you in your pocket. It is also called thumb drive due to its small size.
What is Pen Drive?
Pen drive is a small drive which is used to storage and transfer of data between multiple system. In April 1999, Amir Ban, Dov Moran and Oron Organ introduced the pen drive. If your system has USB port, you can use it very easily. 4GB to 32GB size pen drive are commonly used. It replaced the floppy drive and is much more convenient and beneficial than floppy drive. Any type of file or data, which you saved on your system can be easily stored on pen drive. It gain huge popularity because backing of data has become possible due to pen drive. In start its storage capacity was 8 MB, which is now upgraded up to 1 TB by January 2013.
