What are the Oscars?

The Academy Awards, more famous as the Oscars are the merit awards given to the excellent performers in the film industry. Emmy Awards are the World’s biggest and most precious performance-based awards given to the recognition of excellence in the Television Industry. These are the world-famous awards and are resembles the other specified awards such as Tony Award for the theater, Grammy Award for music, and Academy Award for the film.

Although these awards are given to the excellent performers only in the American TV industry, still these awards are recognized globally because of their historical tradition and merit-based exposure.

These awards are organized and supervised by three different organizations that include ATAS (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), and IATAS (International Academy of Television Arts Sciences).

The very first Emmy Awards were presented on January 25 in 1949. Emmy Awards are divided into a series of different phases in which various categories are present. The main phases that include the creative arts and drama series of the television are the Primetime Emmy and Daytime Emmy.
