The main difference between Email and Gmail is that Email is a way of exchanging digital messages over an internet, whereas Gmail is an email service provided by Google over an internet.

Email also has the facility to set peak sync times selecting days or even weeks, whereas Gmail does not originate with this feature. The email basically stands for Electronic mail. In the email, the message transferring method requires a very short time to exchange messages between people. Apart from sending digital messages, the users can also attach various files such as videos, images, and graphics. It is a modern method of sending message to the recipient within seconds who is present miles away from the user. Email shows a vital role in modern communication. Email supports from medium to large enterprise-level business organizations as well as supports an individual user.

What is Gmail?

Gmail is defined as an advertising-supported, free email service provider by Google or an email user who provides various features such as email reminder, virus protection, spam filtering, and many others. It is no possible to use an email without an email service provider which is a Gmail. Gmail is one of the most current email service providers which is used to exchange emails via the internet. Gmail mostly uses IMAP or POP protocols, and these protocols help to recover emails from the server. The user can insert images, attach files, and insert links. Also, if the user wants to send large files such as video and audio files, then the user can insert those files to google drive. Generally, Gmail is the most dominant email service now a day. Besides the basic addition with google account, it is combined with other major google products and services such as hangouts, google drive, YouTube, and many others. The email which is provided by Gmail consists of two sections.

  • Header: The header section contains the subject of the email and the receiver details.
  • Body: The message written in the body section.
