Quinella and Exacta Definitions

Quinella

A system of betting in which the bettor, in order to win, must pick the first two finishers of a race, but not necessarily in the correct sequence.

Exacta

A method of betting, as on a horserace, in which the bettor must correctly pick those finishing in the first and second places in precisely that sequence. Also called perfecta.

Quinella

A form of bet in which the bettor predicts the first two finishers in a race, without concern for the order of finishing.

Exacta

A bet in which the bettor must correctly pick the two runners who finish first and second, in the correct order.

Quinella

To have two team members, horses, etc., finish first and second in the same event.
